About Us

Hi, and thanks for visiting our website!  I’m Cindy Koenig, the owner of About Fitness, and I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about our fitness center, the services we offer, and how you might benefit from our programs.  My husband, Alan, (also a co-owner), and I share a vision of providing our clients with a unique fitness experience. We recognize that there is no shortage of exercise and personal training opportunities in L.A, so we feel strongly about affording our clients the best comprehensive exercise, health, and wellness resource center, to address the many challenges that our minds and consequently our bodies are constantly faced with.
We believe that the ideal fitness center is an environment that is the right fit for you, where you will well connect with the staff and clientele, and maintain the motivation and momentum to achieve your goals. We believe there really is no one size fits all, and that like clothing styles, a fitness center needs to fit well and compliment you.

Unlike large, impersonal fitness centers, we’re a small, friendly, semi-private fitness and wellness environment where change happens. We consider our service to be guided training – which is personal attention, guided sessions, and trainer-assisted stretching and muscle massage at the end of your workout.
We are focused on your goals, and we’ll help you to customize your workouts, and work with you to ensure that you have proper form and technique. We’ll also balance your workouts, so that you are improving cardiovascular endurance and also toning muscles, which overtime, will increase your lean body mass (muscle tissue) resulting in a higher metabolism. Overall, we’ll help you change, and, we’ll do it safely and effectively. Our clients meet their goals, whether it is weight loss, more energy, or the strength to keep up with their children or even grandchildren, we can help!

We push just enough so that you are doing more than you would do on your own, but yet not feeling overwhelmed or uncomfortable. During your 60 to 90 minute fitness appointment, we’ll work with you on a workout that’s just right for you. We’ll keep it varied and interesting, and promise that you’ll be introduced to the latest nutrition, health, and wellness information through our website, emails, and in-house discussions. We work with all ages and levels of fitness, and we’re happy to start you out at a level that’s best for your body and your mind - to ensure you stay with it and achieve your goals.

We take the time to get to know you, and offer you the best resources possible to help you achieve success and feel the way you want to feel, the way you know you should feel about your body and about your life.
